Said Chaou influenced me a great deal in the growth of my passion for filmmaking, so I gratefully consider him as one of my main mentors. This movie was inspired by many asian movies that got us excited a few years ago, including Hong Kong's blockbuster Infernal Affairs and South Korea's Friend. Sure, it is unarguably full of mind-boggling flaws making it seem more like a unintentional plagiarizing comedy than a serious thriller but who cares? We had a great experience, and that's all that matters.
